Natural Baby Skin Care Product
By now you’ve heard of the daycare worker who suedJohnson & Johnson successfully for $70 million dollars. Turns out it was the Talc, in their baby powder, that is linked to causing ovarian cancer. Thing is, J&J knew this issue before hand, but still had it as an ingredient. So thoughtful of the babies.
The Honest Company’s wipes just had a major recall due to mold,
and Huggies’ Natural Care wipes were sued for not being all that natural.
Do you really trust them to keep harmful ingredients out of their baby products?
Not really? Yeah me neither. Why give my money to a company like that?
I knoooow that it’s been used and trusted for generations, but it’s stupid to act like they’re the only ones with a decently priced baby wash. I want my baby’s butt fresh and clean, with a natural baby skin care product I can use on myself. No worries about breaking out from rashes or drying out our skin.
With all the choices on the inter-webs, it’s easy to get an information overload. Especially with the Sanctimommies
If I had a dollar for every time I heard a mama asking for natural baby skin care product alternatives, I’d start my own company. That’s exactly what these mamas did.
1. Tubby Todd
Tubby Todd was created by a mama who suffered from eczema with her kiddos, but needed sensitive skincare that she could trust. She created this super modern and clean baby company that has since become my go-to for our family’s needs. TT is a brand that I just can’t get enough of, recently! I suggest you

2. Wash with Water Organics
This Cruelty free + vegan company is made in the U.S.A. (by people earning a living wage) and is responsibly sourced. You’ll be doing your baby + the Earth a favor by picking up their bestselling BareNaked bar soap. Do yourself a favor and buy 2, one for the baby and yourself. Remember to thank me later, as you order more.
It’s also ped-approved, leaving out harmful parabens, DEA, formaldehyde, and the other yucky stuff.
3. Aden and Anais
You love their swaddles + their customer service is top notch. Betcha didn’t know that they made lotions, ointments, baby wash, and shampoo too. Which, are not often in stock. The natural mamas I talk to are o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with this stuff. After trying their lotions I got hooked like crack. It smells as soft as it makes my hands feel. My legs constantly feel like I just shaved with this stuff. Oh, yeah, Aiden doesn’t seem to mind it, too.
4. Baby Mantra
Two sisters, inspired by their mama’s natural parenting ways, set out to create a natural + organic baby skin care line. Baby Mantra is sustain-ably sourced, cruelty-free, U.S.A. made, and only boasts organic ingredients. Plus, it’s EWG certified. This may not mean a lot to you, but it means that they care where their products come from and where they end up. That’s more than you can say for so many money-hungry big businesses.

Kate, a mama who has worked with Avon, L’Oreal, Avon, and Redken; couldn’t bare to give her allergy-ridden kids clean products that suited her professional standards. Babo Botanicals is a cruelty-free line of products safe from parabens, sulfates, and the other nasty stuff. They even educate at the Edible Academy @ the New York Botanical Gardens, teaching kids how to garden with good nutrition in mind.

Two mamas couldn’t find a natural, spa-quality, baby skincare line. This was something unheard of, at the time, taking a chance that has paid off. This modern organic baby company is cruelty free, vegan, and ewg certified. They constantly give back to smaller communities of kids at need, 1,125 times to date. Baja Baby currently has a spring sale full of their yummy products and offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. For whatever reason, if you aren’t happy, you can return your products at no cost to you.

Puracy is a natural line of household + skincare products that have been developed by chemists, so they actually know the science behind what they are doing. This one’s for you, STEM Mama! Better yet, it’s also free of petroleum, harsh chemicals, or animal based ingredients. For every sale, they give back to organizations like The Ronald Mcdonald House and even childrens’ shelters. On every product, it features locally hand-drawn artwork.

I knoooooow it’s so easy and borderline addictive to run to Target and pick up something off the shelves, but the brands on my list are made by WAHMS, like us. They get it. They want the best for your baby. And, most are on Amazon. Wink Wink. Why not give your business to a mama who will appreciate it? Your baby’s skin will thank you.
