No, the title isn’t click bait. Yes, the items can range from name brand formula to swaddles. I’m talking free samples of baby products that you’d actually spend money on.
When I was pregnant with Aiden, it was overwhelming. Trying to decide which products I should buy made my head spin. Thank Jesus for BabyCenter cuz I’d still be running around like a chicken with his head chopped off.
I saw a community post, where another mama in my Birth Club contacted companies like Burts Bees. She just sent them a sweet little message and asked for free samples. And it worked.
It’s that simple. Why? Because companies are dying for loyalty from mamas-to-be. If one free sample means a lifetime of purchases, wouldn’t you be giving away stuff like Oprah, too?! These companies may even send you free stuff!
This is what I wrote:
My husband and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first child, Aiden this June. Since we are first time parents, we aren’t quite sure which items and brands will work best for our own needs, as well as Aiden’s. If you have any extra products that my husband and I can use to get a better idea of what will work best, please feel free to send them to our address below.
I would suggest making it a little more personal per company, but some ‘Contact Us’ forms had character limits. Give it a shot!

Note, some companies already do have free sample programs and you can click them below.
Others, you just find their contact forms and emails. Personally, I feel like the smaller companies worked the best. Ones that worked for me are:
- Bamboo Nature
- Dr. Brown
Some things you’ll just have to pay 5.95 for shipping, like this Honest Company bundle.
- 7 Honest Company Diapers
- 10 Honest Company Wipes

Tarjaaaaay also gives you a 15% completion discount 90 days before your due date. It doesn’t expire until about 5 months afterwards and you can use it for anything. Yes, anything. Just add the products to your registry before you check out and you’re good to go. I have had the crappiest luck in store, doing this, though. It works best for me online. Thankfully, you get 5 in-store and 5 online discount codes to send or use yourself.
Most of all, pair that with your REDCARD 5% off. In addition, you get a whopping 20% off discount on everything. It’s like Black Friday all over again.
P.s., you can sign up for either a debit or credit Redcard here, easily!
Their freebies include about $50 worth of samples and coupons. These are what they typically give out:
I will say that I was quite a bit underwhelmed with these, but you can’t complain much when it was all given for free. Their completion discounts, constant baby gift card promotions and sales made Target my registry go-to.
I’ve got some tips here to get a killer deal on my favorite newborn products!
Seems like the “free” nursing covers, slings, and car seat covers have shipping prices of $20+. It’s a no from me, sis.
That’s it. No magic needed. Nor secret Krabby Patty formula.
